The scrap material from entire Trombay Unit including Ghatkopar pumping system (GPS) is shifted to the expansion yard (located within the factory premises which is well secured by CISF and a dedicated CISF security personal is also deputed at expansion yard on round the clock basis) with a return note and expansion yard is maintaining proper records of the return notes.
Monthly joint survey by CISF and RCF Trombay Unit representative is also carried out in the factory premises for the prevention of theft of unsecured material lying unattended inside plant premises. Any unattended scrap or otherwise material lying within the plant/ department premises is intimated to concerned authorities. (13.12.2024)
All the inventory in Thal Unit received from plants is segregated according to its type in Scrap Yard and then disposed. The scrap yard is locked by main gate having Lock & key & manned by CISF on round the clock basis. Further scrap Yard, Pipe Yard, and Dumping Yard is under 24x7 CCTV surveillance by 23 cameras. Presently, scrap disposal is carried out on a
continuous basis. A six-monthly review of the scrap will be carried out & status of scrap will be updated. First such review shall be carried out in the month of January, 2025.( 26.12.2024)
